Really? Marvel stays out of politics? Did you not watch Black Panther? Which by the way over-performed by Disney expectations. Also Marvel movies are vastly different to one another. Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Spider-Man Homecoming and such all have different feel to them so even though technically they are superhero films, they can be taken as individual movies as well. Not so with Star Wars, which is why there is a fatigue with those movies already. You have such an anti-SJW boner that you will believe people are pushing propaganda at you even though they're just making a movie. Heck Solo has a straight white male lead so this should be right up your alley man. |
First of all, the politics of BP were very general. It was basically MLK vs Malcom X. Killmonger had a right to be mad, but it was made clear that the way he was going about it was completely wrong and he had to be stopped. Same goes for any Marvel film. And no, they don't have a unique feel. They are painstakingly made so that they feel very similar. Some may be a little darker than others, or be set in a different location, but the overall look, feel, and model are pretty much the same. It's why people can say that something is trying to be a Marvel film. So, fatigue is a poor excuse. Especially after just two friggin films.
Or maybe you just support the message, so you don't see when they are trying to cram stuff down the collective throat of those who either disagree or just don't want that stuff in their SW film.

Sincerely, what would you like for me to do? |
Absolutely nothing.

Being right wing has absolutely nothing to do with it. There are plenty in the center/center-left who despise the direction that SW is going. I'm subbed to Mindless Entertainment on Youtube, the host of which would definitely describe herself as being on the Left and with whom I don't always agree with, but she hates all of this crap being put into SW, too.

That's way below the $9.7m opening day of The Last Jedi, the $10.7m opening day for Rogue One and obviously below the $33m opening day for The Force Awakens. |
The sad thing is that Disney could have had a chance to expand the market with China, like they did with the Marvel flicks. Instead, China rejected TLJ and seems to be done with the franchise. At least for now.
