I haven't watched it yet, and now I feel slightly less inclined to do so. But we'll see, I'll likely end up watching it, even if only to complain about it from personal experience haha.

However, I think Disney expected they would have more of a "goose of the golden eggs" with SW larger even than the Marvel CU after signing the contract with George Lucas and specially after TFA released. It seems like, though, it's harder to make good SW movies and keep interest high than it seemed at first.

I don't know how the sequel trilogy will be looked upon in the future but there's a high chance it's going to be less kindly than the prequel trilogy even. "Yo momma" jokes and Harry Potter Casino are, well, at least up (down?) there with Jar Jar and most likely way worse.

Some anthology movies on the other hand might end up pretty nice like Rogue One or the theorized Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan movie.
