Console video games is only part of Sega. They also do a lot of arcade stuff where they are losing tons of money.
I don't really don't like expansion through acquisition very much, especially regarding console manufacturers. A lot of the value in these companies lies in the fact they develop on different platforms. Making them console exclusive wipes out a lot of potential revenue streams.
