On the surface this seems like not a bid deal. This is for households that already own a Switch and it is for Japan only.
But what it really means is that they are boosting up their Japanese install base as fast as possible. That means even more Japanese 3rd party games are going to be made. In a year or two there is going to be a flood of Japanese 3rd party exclusives hitting the Switch.
