With this you're assuming Nintendo is cutting into their own margins? $15 to produce the dock (up from your original assertion of $10 a few posts ago), $2 to produce the adapter, and what another couple bucks for the HDMI cable? Something is amiss in your estimations if Nintendo is taking off $50 for the missing items. We all know Nintendo doesn't cut into their own margins, they wouldn't even do it with Wii U.

there not taking 50$, because the ac adapter is a must buy, it retails for 30$. if the customer ever  wants  to hook it to a tv and wants official nintendo products  hes gonna need a joy con grip, dock, hdmi, basically spend another 140$.

To be fair they could just buy USB C cable instead of AC adapter.

they're still taking $50 off, and it's aimed at households that already have a Switch. So there's obviously an adapter already in the household

you because there so much people that are actually gonna buy 2 switches, they removed the adapter for a reason, its  a BS reason just to price gauge, typical nintendo.  main reason they took 50$ is to increase sales in japan, while taking the smallest hit possible.

I am pretty sure that at least in Japan there will be plenty of people that will have more than one Switch per house.
