You do realize multiple people in a household own separate handheld systems right? It is not for one person looking to buy two Switches but rather multiple people in a single household looking to buy a Switch for individual members of the household as opposed to one for the household. The pricing is what gets in the way of that, part of the reason why 3DS sales were stronger in Japan after the price cut was because at the lower price parents were less hesitant to purchase them for their children and it became less of a barrier for families that have more than one children to purchase a handheld for all of their children.
