Ugh, I didn't consider that. Fuck that. Handheld mode would look horrible on a TV, which is the only way I play my Switch.

But it could also be a reason for a new handheld SKU, to push smaller developers to make the transition between 3DS and Switch more easily, without having to raise development costs because of the TV mode.

 

It depends on if they are still fully confident in the hybrid concept potential being bigger than a handheld, or if they changed their mind because maybe the sales are good, but not as good as they hoped.
