There is exactly one, and only one, good reason for a game to be exclusive to a certain platform. That reason being if the publisher of said console is directly responsible for the game's existence. Be that because it's their studio working on it, it's their IP, they're funding an outside studio's project, etc. If the game wouldn't exist without their involvement, it is completely understandable that the game be exclusive to their platform/services. Any game where this is not the case means somebody is simply paying in order to keep something away from other people, rather than investing in order to provide us with something that we wouldn't otherwise get.

Now, obviously, there are scenarios where doing something like this could still be of benefit to the publisher, but as a consumer, there is literally no good reason to ever root for this.
