This is probably just Capcom not wanting to put resources into a proper port for Switch. And I can understand that. They're probably working on Resident Evil 2 Remake and perhaps RE8. But if that's the case, that means it's probably this or nothing. And this may be better than nothing, providing they don't keep doing this for future games that they should port to/develop for Switch.

This is interesting though, because this may allow games like Kingdom Hearts 3 to come to Switch after all, if it should prove too difficult/expensive to port.

Totally agree, RE7 could run on Switch and game could run/look well enough, and relly seems that Capcom still dont want to put larger resources for Switch, it seems like they dont still dont know what to do with Switch support.

This is low investment experiment, but I still hope we will get proper RE7 port for Switch.
