I agree there is viable option as I use it myself lol.
My issue is why do these devs even bother if they going to do this stupid shit? Hell why didn't Nintendo make it easier for devs. It feels like another half ass attempt by Nintendo to try and win 3rd parties over but it hasn't really worked as planned.
