That's precicely the point. Capcom's practices with the Switch have so far been so insultingly bad, most Switch users would rather NOT have their games at all. I don't feel blessed to have RE7 on Switch, or Monster Hunter. I would surely buy those games on my Switch rather than my PC or PS4 though, if given the chance.

Capcom is simply screwing us over big time, losing money in the process, and severely alienating their fans. If I were asked 4-5 years ago, what my favourite video game companies are, Capcom would surely be in the top 3. Now, it's by far the lowest for me.

Well it still remains to be seen how they handle development/ports of major games that were developed while Switch was a thing. We are one year into Switch's lifecycle, but none the wiser really. But I think 2018 will paint a clearer picture of what we can expect going forward.

I think not having games at all is rarely ever a better better choice than having them in some form. Provided that this doesn't negatively affect future ports of games.
That said, I wonder if they really created this infrastructure just for RE7 on Switch. They probably have at least some other games in consideration, depending on how this pans out.

Oh but it is worse, we have a number of examples to that. Wii had tons of shovelware, iOS / Android devices, Atari, etc. It may provide a short term boost and cash, but WILL hurt in the end. Capcom much more than Nintendo, that's for sure.
