Diversity as a natural flow of and in the narrative and setting adds flavor, nuance and depth, forced diversity for the sake of pandering or getting someone or something off your back is not, it's really that simple.

Not really, I have a steady job that I like, a car and a decent (but insanely expensive) place to live. I often stay out of debating or discussing things around here though, it gets heated and the population is ridiculously touchy (all sides) and polarized. I was quite frankly shocked when I moved here and learned how divided the people are and how much media attention is allotted to crazies and zealots of all kinds.
