Overwatch has achieved an impressive feat: the game now has more than 40 million players, game director Jeff Kaplan revealed in a developer update today. This milestone comes as the game prepares to celebrate its second anniversary with a seasonal event that will bring back all of the game's previous skins, Brawls, and other cosmetics to unlock and play.

There are many different controller options that work in VR, and that can be both daunting for developers who want to support them all, and frustrating for gamers who feel the default control schemes are counter-intuitive. To deal with both issues, Valve is rolling out a new SteamVR Input system that allows for custom controller bindings.

It appears that Capcom has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. Earlier today, the Japanese team released a 10GB update for the PC version of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite and although there aren’t any release notes yet, users have reported that the Denuvo tech has been removed.
This is also evident from the game’s Steam store page. Prior to this update, the store page listed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. However, right now there is no mention at all of it. Furthermore, users report faster loading times (and as we’ve already reported, Denuvo does have an impact on loading times).

Stardew Valley's long-awaited multiplayer is finally here, and while it's still in beta, it's already pretty darn great. Developer Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) is in the process of smoothing out kinks and integrating features and changes suggested by players, and I reckon Nexus modder CatCattyCat has a winning suggestion on their hands.
Their new quality of life mod (which you can download here) lets you copy multiplayer invite codes to your clipboard and easily paste them into messages to your friends, which is much better than typing or saying the whole dang thing one character at a time.

Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 3 will not be present at E3 2018. This was revealed by one of Gearbox’s representatives who announced the news in a room of journalists earlier today.

A new website for STALKER 2 appeared online an hour ago. At first, I was a bit sceptical about it, however, Sergiy Grygorovych has confirmed that this is real, and that GSC GameWorld is indeed working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Deep Silver has announced that Metro Exodus has been delayed until Q1 2019. According to the publisher, it wants everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date and in order to deliver this, it has decided to delay the game.

 

RIDE 3 has been officially announced, releases on November 8th, first screenshots

Milestone has announced that RIDE 3 is under development and that it will release on November 8th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Milestone released the first screenshots for this new bike racing game that you can view below.

 

Shenmue 3 has also been delayed to 2019

Following the delay of Metro Exodus, Deep Silver has also announced that Shenmue 3 will now target a 2019 release. According to the publisher, this extra time will give the development team enough time to further polish the game.
