That's the thing, Monster Hunter is no longer a Japan specific phenomenon (MHW Japan: 3m, Rest of the world: 5m). It now ranks in the west along side Resident Evil and Street Fighter. Capcom does not have to prioritize Japan/portability for the franchise anymore.
Evident by the fact they are self publishing the series outside Japan.
