I totally agree. So far it doesn't seem like a trickle rom dump of the same games and they're adding features. I've bought my fill of Mario World and A Link to the Past, I don't need another rom dump emulated on Switch.

I prefer this new model and if they do intend to add more systems along the line, I'm down with it. Somebody brought up the idea of games like Mario Party 1-3 and even the GameCube games benefiting from online play. Can you imagine online play with friends for Double Dash or Mario Kart 64? With this new overhaul it will be possible. That being said I wonder if Nintendo intends to add tiers of subscriptions because 20 bucks a year for an online library of games is highway robbery to Nintendo.

If they made a service with NES-GameCube where you could play online I'd pay $60 annually for that. And if they intend to keep the service going for the entirety of Switch's life cycle, they would have gotten $360 from me which I think is more lucrative for them.
