Ah I see. And Yeah I would love it if like holding the home menu while in a game can let you access the voice chat or its settings. But I feel like the Switch may be too weak to have it running in the back...... Sorry just me guessing stuff lol 

I think the Switch is powerful enough, what I think the problem is is that Nintendo seems way to conservative on the OS. I don't see why at the very least game invites can't be universal or why messenging isn't here.

The reason they delayed it, is because Smash Bros. wasn't ready yet. Plain and simple.

Considering they already had a game in Splatoon 2 to launch alongside NSO, I don't think that's the case.

 

Edit: well not launch alongside, but more showcase it. Pretty much the same thing though.
