Patcher is the voice of reason on this. I think he has seen the light. (Scary -- huh.)
It could very well be that NPD (using an old forecasting model and not getting Toys R Us and Wal-Mart data) and analysts (still thinking game sales are boom than bust), don't have the same numbers or same understanding of what is happening with the Wii that EA and and selected others (those on VGC) do.
In other words, could these people been caught in a paradigm shift and don't really know what is happening. Maybe they don't understand sell legs well (because big releases don't have them) and don't have complete data about game sales.
And Yes, the Boom Blox commercials, while present, were mis-targeted.
