I want a proper and humorous fable above all else. In the time period of the first fable, the golden age of heroes and all of that. The traveling forward in time is what ruined the franchise imo.
That said, I would really like to see the Xbox getting solid third party investments again. To be fair, Microsoft doesn't want to own studios, they want to own the services we play games on. That's fine but they need to start shelling out money to studios who will make their games. The Dead Risings, Bioshocks and Condemned: Criminal Origins type of deals. Successful ideas, not the Scalebound type of deals.
