I don't know if it's a bug, but I've checked a notification straight from the forum buddy in the front page, but the warning didn't go until I did it the old way (going into my notifications and checking the warning in question).
Also, a suggestion I made in the other thread, having the thread links in black and the article links in green is very odd. In my opinion, given that the front page is now more clear (or less dark), they should all be the same colour: black.
