I never said Mario, Kirby or DK are not great for kids. I think they are probably the best quality games in the market for them. What I wanted to say is that... you can use videogames to hook kids into Nintendo. Or... you can use something else. Like, something that kids (especially little kids) are more familiar with and parents tend to buy more: Toys. Labo is essentially a toy. I bet many parents would rather buy their children Labo than the next Mario game, even if Mario is cheaper and more known. There's still a lot of prejudices around videogames. So... it kida makes sense for Nintendo to try to create their own toys and merge them with their consoles.

Ok, then what? Now the kid has a Switch, cardboard with some mini games and parents who wont buy them regular games... How is Labo doing anything positive here?
