So, does anyone think it can have the largest opening weekend? For the DBO, it sits at ~$106M. It has two days to make the $142M it needs to pass TFA. For the FBO, it sits at ~$179M. It has two days to make the $265M it needs to pass The Fate of the Furious.
Personally, I think it has a pretty good shot at beating TFA's domestic opening. Beating FOTF is going to be a tall order. Of course, FOTF had the advantage of launching in China in its opening weekend. Not sure why Disney insists on spacing out their China releases.
