You're right, Uncharted, Ratchet, and Heavenly Sword are all beautiful games. I loved the fast-paced parts of R&C, the Indiana Jones feel of Uncharted, and the AfterTouch in Heavenly Sword.

Unfortunately, all three games went away from those pluses at one point or another.

Sometimes I wonder WTF developers are thinking. Ratchet starts off fast and immediately turns into a stuck-in-molasses shooter, Uncharted goes all paranormal with fucking zombie Nazis, and Heavenly Sword doesn't use Kai nearly often enough. Jesus Christ, this shouldn't be rocket science. You've got a good thing going, stick with it or at least use it a little more often later in the game.

 

 LOL so true about Uncharted... I did NOT see that twist comming at ALL! It's funny... I think the new Indianna Jones movie was very similar. but the difference was Uncharted made it work in my opinion. cursed treasure iturning people zombies is better than aliens in my opinion. 

Oh man HS could have added at least another 1-2 hours with more Kai... Deeper story of her could have helped the game a lot. (2 hours would have increased the game by 34%!)

I actually thought Indiana Jones worked better because Lucas was going for a 1950s feel... It was all about nukes and flying saucers. After all, Indiana Jones is merely a tribute to the Saturday morning serials Lucas watched as a child.

With that said, Indy 4 could have been a hell of a lot better than it was.
