What are the chances of Nintendo anouncing a new 2d metroid at E3?

Considering how thankful most franchises are to make the jump to 3D to begin with and how many lick their wounds and crawl back to 2D (Sonic, Castlevania, Street Fighter), I doubt they'll go back to 2D on the Wii. As for the DS, that would be interesting.
