Darc Requiem said: Well that doesn't really mean much Mike. Phil Harrison is like Perrin Kaplan of Nintendo, you can't take either of them at their word. Both of them have been caught stating something that was deemed incorrect/untrue several times. Phil nor Perrin seem to be in the loop. Phil saying rumble was last gen the day before Sony settled with Immersion points to this. Not to mention the BS about Sony always intending on putting the motion sensitivity in the Sixaxis, when developers were told about at it a week to 10 days before E3. As for Perrin, her "Wii region free statement" comes to mind as well as the 'component cables being available from retailers at launch" snafu. In others words, citing a corporate talking head that has proven unreliable isn't a good idea.
This was clarified. The warhawk devs knew about the change in the controller and programmed for it. They did not program the sensitivity in 10 days. They just tweaked it because it was thier first hands on experience with the controller so they could troubleshoot. Phil spoke about rumble and why he said what he had to say and I have posted links about how far back home was mentioned. http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/9879 Posted on 5-27-2005: "SCEA and SOE are developing MMORPG (something similiar to ffxi) style online service for PS3 right now. It will have online pack which it comes with HDD and the online software. You can go online and chat with people like mmorpg style. Your stats will have the list of games you have and scores(or ranks) for each game, and other great things. And if you want to look for someone to play online for certain game, you have to go to this certain area(or town) for that specific game or the game will automatically takes you to that town. Sony thinks "hyper links" technology is a history. They want to create a "virtual world" for PS3 online service where people can actually interact each other like mmorpg style. There are more great details, but this is all I can get for now. I'm not expecting you to believe me ." http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=14848&view=by_date_ascending&page=1
