No one said these people can't find it appealing.
The thing is they try to put as cartoon = good art direction, realistm = no art direction, just copy and paste reality.
And the other thing is that they use their preference of art direction to determine that the graphics of one game is better than another and even more when talking about it technically and saying a game of that caliber is possible on said nintendo hardware.
