I think Gamepass is likely doing a bit.  It really is a great deal.  

X is certainly helping, both in terms of upgrades from OG Xbones, and in getting PS4 owners to pick up their first XB1.  I can't imagine its selling much to people that don't already own a current gen system though.  

S may be doing a bit by getting people that don't care as much about games to buy-in for use as a 4K Blu-ray player.  Christmas and NFL playoff season are huge for TVs, so the first part of the year likely sees some of those people wanting to get the most out of their new TV.  

As for BC, that may also be helping a bit.  I doubt many people would choose an XBone over a PS4 for that reason.  But, people that already own a PS4 and have been on the fence about picking up a Xbone may see some real value in it.  For people that didn't own a 360 or a Xbone, it's basically like buying two generations in one shot.  For previous owners a 360, its probably not as big of a deal.  Worth something still, I guess.
