Evidently, firearms ownership does not reduce rape culture. West Korea has the most firearms of any nation on the planet, but condoning sexual assault is apparently acceptable 'locker-room talk', the upper echelons of Fox News (sic) reportedly had a pervasive culture of sexual harassment, and the so-called 'tough-on-crime Party of family values' is mired in a steady stream of sex scandals ranging from kidnapping to pedophilia.
Increasing gun ownership evidently didn't diminish that (West Korea's pro-gun crowd tend to be the most supportive of the parties listed above), but it would certainly increase the problems associated with gun ownership.
