Dr. Shawn Baker got his bloodwork done last week, and the results are catastrophic.

* LDL Cholesterol of 149.2. Which places him in the highest risk category for atherosclerosis.
* Testosterone is at 237. The average is 376... for men at age 85-100.
* Fasting glucose is at 127, which is diabetic levels.
* Hemoglobin A1C was 6.3, which is the high end of longer-term pre-diabetic levels (which is 5.7 to 6.4, 6.5+ is diabetic).

While the culture is that eating a high meat diet will make you manly, that's really about as true as the myth that excessive drinking of hard liquor will put hair on your chest.  It's a double whammy, too, because aside from having extremely low testosterone, one of the symptoms of atherosclerosis is impotence.

Moral of the story, eat your vegetables, sonny!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
