That is one hell of a pity party. Can I just come in, or is there a cover charge at the door? Do you know what went wrong? Do you secretly work for Bandai? Without any information is is pretty embarrassing to go on such a rant about a company. Maybe wait until we get a little information before going all conspiracy theory about Bandai wanting to sink the Switch? |
The game looks identical to the PS360 version except at 1080p and a much more stable framerate. It's a port of a seven year old game and they can't get it out in time and that's just plain sad.
And look, I'm not a Souls fan. I have tried to get into it and just can't, I probably won't buy this on any platform. I'm just incredibly sick and tired of this nonsense. This is the second year and this game is ancient, there's no reason it should miss May 25th.
And I don't think there's any conspiracy. I think they just screwed up and clearly, CLEARLY don't have the Switch prioritized nearly as high as they claim they do. It's patently obvious at this point. Everyone knows the PS4 and Xbone get the same release date, always, unless one strikes a deal for exclusivity. They get treated equally. The Switch doesn't, ever. And of course that hurts their sales and I will not be shocked at all if they wine and complain about those sales.
And I'm also tired of Bandai Namco. They talked up their 2018 Switch support, promising game after game after game would be announced. And here we are and their most noteworthy 2018 game is a 7 year old port that they can't even launch on time. Nothing else noteworthy announced for the system. After basically telling people to buy Xenoverse 2 to get FighterZ, after telling people to go "make their voices heard" and hype up Project Cars 2 if they wanted it on Switch (spoiler warning, that was never even possible), after making a big song and dance about how they were going to be serious about the Switch in 2018, this is all they've got and they can't even do that right.
