Would this change mitigate the problem of clickbait scores on Metacritic?

I'm not sure how good of a solution that might be. It sounds like it could work, but I would like to have a statistician's view on how it would affect scores before reaching a conclusion.

Also, it's pretty ironic that this thread has sort of a clickbait title.
