True, but 3rd party already produce more Online Multiplayer only games, than the Market needs.
Look at a game like Lawbreakers, its a "neat" game and well done, and AAA quality.... and it flopped.
The market place has to many multiplayer games, and its a tough place to compete in.
So why even bother?
the same isnt true for single player story forcused games.
Theres less and less AAA quality single player focused experiances out there (which means sony titles just stand out all the more).
Plus its what sony is good at makeing.
So the logical question is... why would sony do a online only multiplayer focused game? it doesnt make any sense to do so imo.

I dont think this is true.
I think part of the reason PS4 sells so well, is it has found its fan base, people like the type of games they make.
If they change that too much, they ll do worse (like if next gen, all they did was GaaS online games, their console wouldnt sell as well).
Plus how many single player games are on the level of a Uncharted? Last of us? very veeery few.

And its still a very differnt game than Uncharted, Last of US, Spiderman,God of War....
plus I dont think Far Cry 5 is at that level (it looks like a decent game dont get me wrong, but its just not).
