Well if Nintendo didn't purposely set out to make life difficult for people with third party docks is there some other reason this is happening. Have they updated the firmware so that the Switch runs faster and draws more power or some other performance change, faster charging or something?
I don't have a Switch but intend to buy one at some point and will be looking to share one switch console with a dock both downstairs and upstairs, the Nintendo dock seems grossly overpriced for what it is.
