Super Mario World.

Yoshi's Island easily beats Super Mario World. I've always found it a step down from Mario 3, where in SMW control feels more floaty and slippery for some reason. Level design is also much less interesting.

 

Yesssss. I just saw it top IGNs best game of all time list and all I could do is shake my head. Super Mario 3 is the pinnacle of Mario design. Not that Super Mario World is bad, but despite all the neat visual introductions, most of the levels still feel boring and at times tedious.

Thank you! SMB3 and Yoshi’s Island are far superior to SMW. The music was all the same -cool idea, but really made the “soundtrack” -if you can even call it that, really subpar. Besides that the levels are wayyy too long and lack variety. I like the game, but it’s nothing special
