so you're saying if wiiu sold 100 million, they still would still unify the platforms? thing is technology is still not there yet, nintedo made huge sacrifices compared to a dedicated home console, most  third party games aren't being ported because the hardware is too weak, you are simply confirming that nintedo knows they can not compete with MS/sony in the home console market, and switch shows this by design.

Maybe, but they would go toward unifed platform and merged markets in any case, beacuse they would have huge problems in game development in case with supporting two different platforms in same time and beacuse now tehnology is mature enugh. Tehnology is there and Switch proves that, that dont have anuthing with Switch power compared to competition, Wii was even more underpowered compared to PS3/360 than Switch is compared to PS4/XB1, I dont see how that can be confirmation of anuting exept point that Nintendo has different strategy and goals compared to Sony and MS, with and Sony and MS all comes to who has higher specs.

thats the thing, nintendo can't afford to keep taking risks, they don't have a tried and true formula in the home console market like they do in the handheld market, where all they have to do is release a upgrade and it will do well enough, nintendo basically has to invent a new concept that could be hit or miss for there home console to be successful which is a huge risk.
