What do you think that was plan B and not A, actually all suggests that was plan A, they admitted that they had huge problems in development because supporting two different platforms in same time and thats why they had those plans so early. You think that evrething Nintendo related will fail, so what you thought about Wii U is totally irelevant, Nintendo thought until Q4 2013. that Wii U will start selling and thats far more important in this discussion, because Nintendo start talking about unified platform and combined markets in January 2013. and they later said they had similar plans even before but technology wasn't yet there.

i never thought switch would fail, always had it 40-50 million, now 60-70. Nintedo home consoles usually struggle, 3 out of the last 4  were failures for nintendo, so it's not a surprise they were talking about a unified platform, as they are used tot here home consoles not doing good, and 3ds will probably be the weakest entry in the handheld market, it makes sense to be getting ready for a unified platofrm.

You were constatnyl negative about Switch even before Switch launch, but how Switch continue to sell good you have more positive look, but yet you said that Switch sales this year will fail over cliff even nothing pointing at that. Only real failure was Wii U, even GC didnt make succes for Nintendo, they still made profit with it, N64 sold 33m I dont think that could be called failure, and that relly dont matter when after all that they released their easily best selling home console and 3rd best selling home console ever. Offcourse that phone/tablet gaming affect on handheld sales, but you again ignoring fact that they had plans those even before Wii U launch beacuse they had huge problems in development because supporting two different platforms in same time, they had similar plans even before but technology wasn't yet there.
