Thre was no steady decline when Wii was their best selling console and Wii U there worst selling console ever. 70-80m is probably minium that Switch will end up, at end of this year Switch will be at 30m+, and thats for less than 2 years on market while Nintendo said they want longer life span for Switch than usual 5-6 years. |
every company has a plan b. after GC failed they took a completely different approach then MS/sony, they stopped competing in the power race, and started there blue ocean strategy. if wiiu and 3ds sold 200 million combined there is no way nintendo would combine markets. it was always a plan B for them, and honestly it's a great plan.
