You won't get any sort of pricecut at least until the Switch get's it's first internal redesign imo, provided it keeps it's pace.
NVIDIA must be on redesigning the X1 right now, as apparently they want to lock hackers out at a hardware level. Plus a die shrink is probably due as well. That chip won't stay 20nm forever and most of NVIDIA has moved to 14 and 16nm processes, so keeping the 20nm process around for the X1 is just ineffecient. Even with all that I don't expect a price drop before 2019.
Maybe at some point we will see an X2 revision with better battery life and docked performance, but that will probably be a new model.
