Pretty much, I hope most Japanese developers get the memo real soon here.

You think that Nino Kuni would have sold better on Switch vs PS4? It's not like Ni no Kuni is a big series in Japan and it sold very much in line with the first on PS3. Not every game Level 5 makes is designed to be a big hit with young children.

Well, historically Nintendo's fanbase is more receptive towards these types of games. Sure, PS is as well on a level, but in Japan (Where Nintendo kicks ass) I definitely think it would have sold better on Switch in Japan. I never said every Level 5 game has to be for children...I don't even know why you brought that up to be frank. Has nothing to do with that. Level 5 developed DQIX on DS...wasn't for children, same for Professor Layton, Inazuma, etc. They've done well on Nintendo platforms, even the DS version of Ni No Kuni outsold the PS3 version in Japan. Almost 2X over.

We're just saying, Level 5 and other Japanese developers should definitely have Switch on their radar as a platform choice in the future. Since the second game entered development almost immediately after the first, and Switch wasn't even a twinkle in Level 5's eye, it makes sense it didn't release on Switch. Again, has nothing to do with age. IT's more of brand recognition and audience reception at this point.
