I find it funny that you bring up character assassination in your first complaint and then have the nerve to bring up GT Cell. 
GT did Android 17 first.
DBZ did Android 17 first.
GT had the better fusion.
Fusion is one of the reason GT was so bad. They made the antagonists so strong to account for fusion, it made a single powerful fighter borderline worthless near the end. They had to fuse into Gogeta do so something a single fighter would have been able to accomplish previously. Fusion is one of the reasons the Buu Arc in DBZ was the weakest part of the series. GT took that terrible concept and ran with it.
GT aged Trunks and Goten.
GT had a time gap. Super did not. GT also botched Pan and Bra. Pan is supposed to be 10 and Bra is supposed to be 9. Couldn't tell that in GT though. Bra in particular was presented as teenager. Given how sales mature slower than humans. It makes even less sense. You have group of guys cat calling Bra on the highway. It's creepy when she's drawn a 14 years old. It really sick when you realize she's suppose to be 9.
GT had new transformations that actually made sense.
Since when does Goku putting on Chi Chi's red fur coat and her mascara make sense? Why is Gogeta's hair Red for no reason? 
I was always of the belief that GT is the SW Prequels of DB. Fantastic idea, bad execution.

I'll agree to disagree on GT being a fantastic idea. I'll agree on it have terrible execution.  It was just poor concept to begin with. It threw out virtually the entire supporting cast to focus on Kid Goku. It was very sad and pale imitation of Dragon Ball with none of the charm, humor, or good story telling. No only that, it basically made the entire supporting cast meaningless.
