Here is the latest video to DF's analysis on the game Sea of Thieves.

So do they confirm that the waves are calculated by the "power of the cloud"?

Not sure, I believe Vasto emailed Rare for that info.

This all their in depth analysis on that

A complex, dynamic wave system has been engineered, enabling a wide variety of conditions ranging from a calm, clear ocean to powerful, tempestuous storms. The waves are synchronised between individual systems too, allowing the simulation to line up between each console when playing together online.

I doubt the cloud does anything, just makes sure each console is generating the same combination.

Anyway didn't AC 4 already have dynamic oceans. No multiplayer though.

If Teh Cloudz would actually do any calculation, people with bad internet would have a lagging ocean. There is no cloud calculation in this game, never was. This was just speculation from some random website a few weeks ago.

I can safely say my internet is not the best and I do get laggy oceans here and there depending on how my net is feeling on the day. So I guess based off your post it does use the cloud if laggy oceans is the case of it being rendered by the cloud.

Haha why are your posts always filled with statements with no substance. Be nice if you could apply proof and links of your standing than just your opinions with no experience. Doesn't help your argument especially since you haven't played the game to know any of this. Yes the Ocean lags in Sea of Thieves, something you probably would have known if you played the game.
