Piblishers? Ok...Developers? I strongly doubt it makes a difference. Of course the publisher makes more money if he sells the same game for the same price without investing in distribution, packaging, shipping, retailer shares etc.

Publishers will have more money to provide their studio for game development. Provided the publisher is not someone like activision, of course.
