What's also relevant is the Switch's stronger software lineup overtime compared to the 3DS but that doesn't make the comparison any less apt ...
Even though a price cut wasn't intended for the 3DS's strategy that's just how it played out but we also shouldn't assume that Nintendo will take a similar path in pricing strategy because that already isn't so when their paths diverged for sometime and quite frankly, an apples to apples comparison can never be made between two different systems however that doesn't mean we can't statisically isolate the market performance between them ...
It's also intriguing that you've taken a standpoint from a certain someone in this community to focus on the nuances ...
