In terms of yearly NPD sales, I feel like Nintendo needs more than one big game this year to beat PS4's 2015. But it'll probably be close.

I think it comes down to a couple things.

1. Does Labo successfully become the next must have item for kids/families and become Switch's equivalent of something like Wii Fit, Nintendogs or Kinect?

2. Pokemon is officially listed as "2018 or later". Does Smash release in Sept followed by Pokemon in November or is Smash the big holiday title with Pokemon pushed back to 2019?

3. I think an official price cut is unlikely but will Nintendo have some appealing bundles or temporary holiday discounts?

If Labo is just a modest hit, Pokemon doesnt release and there are no holiday bundles/discounts than i would say PS4 wins.

If Labo is a huge hit, Pokemon releases and Nintendo has some great holiday bundles/discounts than i would say Switch wins.

If only one or two of those things happen than its a toss up.
