my recommendation: install the homebrew channel. since the homebrew channel can move between firmware versions at will, I'm sure it won't be long before someone releases homebrew software that will launch region free games, based on the same concept as the freeloader.
Actually, my recommendation, wait until someone releases said homebrew, then do it. Just don't install the new system menu.
