I get the point of not buying a port of a game you've already bought before, but in this specific case you are in the enviable position of having skipped the game and now being able to buy the complete package.

Talking more in general again, there are calls for Virtual Console on Switch all the time, and Virtual Console is nothing but ports. Good and great games should never be forgotten and always be made available to a younger generation of gamers. You are free to skip any ports you don't like, but to write rants about how ports shouldn't be a thing at all - correct me if I am remembering your posts wrong - that's a really selfish thing. Due to the constant influx of younger gamers and people who didn't own specific consoles, ports will not go away. You might as well make the best out of it and invest in the ports that are beneficial for you.

Yep. That is why I might buy it.

Although ... I don't think that's accurate to my posts, really. Ports are fine. Like you said, virtual console is just a porting of old games, and I'm fine with that. In fact I've made that comparison before, and I'm very pro games conservation. The problem is using ports to excuse gaps in your console lineup. No console holder should do it, as it just comes off as a lame way to make your lineup seem better than it is. But ports in general are fine. That is my perspective and why I write rants. However, now that I have cleared up that misconception, I would like to not derail this thread any further on my end. So I will just leave it at that, since obviously others disagree with me. Either way, this is a pretty good value and I am interested in it.
