I love this thread and Labo. They both really start to act as a sieve and separate people from logic. We have someone claiming that it is a VR wannabee. We have another person who claims that only hard core nerds will buy it (I'm not sure if I fulfill that definition, but I think every single one of us in this forum do to some degree and if you think that doesn't mean you, you have some small reflection to do).

The last time I saw people get this worked up about a product and its sales potential it was the Wii. Now mind you, I'm definitely not saying these pieces of cardboard have the Wii level of appeal, but just that it illicits the same emotional response.

The part I'm trying to figure out is the reason for the extra hate:

1. Nintendo is selling cardboard with their name on it and people will buy it?

2. People think that this will ruin gaming?

3. People think this will take development resources from core games?

4. People get so bothered by the concept of seeing themselves play with Labo that they cringe so deep internally it leads to nausea.

5, People initially made such harsh judgments at the reveal and placed their chips on the "this wil fail" bet and have to ride it all the way to the bank?

6. People hate the idea of other people having fun doing something that isn't "pure gaming?"

7. People think VR is just such a better alternative and they really can't understand why people would be more excited about these pieces of cardboard and a minigame collection than a truly immersive 3D experience that is the future of all gaming (and maybe even all of life.)

Feel free to add your own reason or specify if you identify with any of these reasons.

Yeah, I pick options 1, 3 and 7 :)
