Not you apparently, considering people are saying Switch didn't do well because PS4 and XB1 performed better for Feb. CONTEXT would lead one to believe Switch didn't do bad given PS4 had better software launches and XB1 had the price cut. If you want to talk about context. So yeah saying Switch "didn't do particularly good" in a month where there wasn't anything driving sales is a Doomsday post. It's like Nov 2017 all over again.

My "doomsday post" clearly addressed that. But I can't stop you or anyone from being sly, nitpicking and shamelessly taking my statements off context. My post was a mild call out to the deluded users who kept having unrealistic expectations for the Switch to the point of affecting my independent judgement. That said, I still think Switch's 2019 will be a phenomenal year, and possibly "crush" PS2's peak year... how is that for a "doomsday" post? You can't take a negative input on Nintendo-related things, can you?

If you don't consider current evergreen Nintendo titles in addition to Bayonetta 2 (for February) as system sellers, then I guess a few games will ever fit your description of "major release". You see that's what I meant when I wrote "Nintendo trademark" a very few months will have those major Switch releases you're referring to, so sales should be predicted with this weakness in mind. This NPD (if the numbers are true) just put an end to the "Switch will destroy PS4 every month in the USA" narrative.

Sony and MS didn't have any major games to drive sales either. The majority of Monster Hunter World sales were counted for January NPD (6 million~ shipped + digital worldwide for the first couple of weeks, vs around 1.5 "worldwide" for February NPD period). Shadow of the Colossus isn't much bigger than Bayonetta, and is most likely at a disadvantage as far as system-selling effect goes, because PS4 is in its 5th year now, and most SotC fans already bought a PS4 to play The Last Guardian.

Switch did well, just not quite as well as I and most users expected. This seems to hurt your feelings for some reason.

Ahhhh, so you admit trying to taunt those who had higher expectations of Switch in Feb (I, not one of them since I actually havent made any predictions since Dec). What is the actual point of that?

2nd you're giving credence to Switch's evergreen titles (last of which was released 6 months ago) while simultaneously discrediting a NEW huge seller (Monster Hunter) as having an impact on console sales for Feb. Ooookay...

3rd, why would Switch's performance hurt my feelings? I'm already on record in this thread suggesting that Switch did well in Feb all things considered. Plus I never made any NPD predictions for Feb, again why would my feelings be hurt? Seems as if YOU are trying to create something that isn't there like you're accusing me of doing lol
