Pokemon 2018 - Nintendo Switch or 3DS?

Isnt it possible though that they could be working on a remake of diamond and pearl for the 3ds? Pokemon is almost a yearly series as far as I remember, I could see a pokemon in 2018 that isnt the one confirmed for the switch. Although I’d probably bet on something more along the lines of one of those dungeon crawlers spin-offs than a main series type of game.
