That doesn't matter. If we look at it that way then every game should be ported because it has a chance of outselling the original (and even if it doesn't outsell it it's still adding profit).  I think it's very funny how people don't care about the logic behind business decisions until the subject is Switch ports, by the way. 

Have you not noticed the trend of almost every publisher re-releasing their past hits on new hardware?

I don't know if he praised those games for succeeding, though.
