I wouldn't say I'm dissapointed since I really had fun with it, but I think it's a mid-tier Kirby game. Every Kirby game is fun, but there're games like Robobot which were outstanding, and this is just pretty good imho. I still have to try the MP side of it to see if the true potential lies in there. I really don't regret paying 60 bucks though, since it was pretty much what I've expected. |
As you mentioned, Robobot was a lot better, and cost less. So, it's definitely disappointing to pay more for something not as good. Definitely could've been more content here.

Actually, people pointed out that this game lasted just as long as Kirby Return to Dreamland (Adventures Wii in Europe) for most playthrough. And in terms of replay, collectibles are probably the least important part of this game. With all the characters you can befriend and combinations that you can think of, there's certainly replay value to be find. Heck, you can do a solo Kirby run if you want to see how it goes without the friends mechanic. |
Well, sure, I can play pretty much any game I like enough in a different way, but that's not really replay value. That's just... liking the game. Replay value is something the developers specifically put into the game to encourage people to play more. An extra mode, collectibles, etc. I'm looking forward to the dream characters at least.
Pretty sure I spent a lot more time on Return to Dreamland which I actually played fairly recently.
